Plants have been used medicinally for hundreds of years. Over 80% of the total population in the developing world depends on natural products because of their time-tested safety and efficacy.
This lecture talks about the power of using a single herb (referred to as a "simple" in Western medicine) for medicinal purposes. Simple herbs are concentrated plant tonics, made with a single herb that is brewed over a period of hours to extract the maximum amount of vitamins, minerals, and constituents.
Most of the herbs discussed in this lecture will be Western herbs such as Dandelion Root or St. John’s Wort, but there will also be some cross-over into Chinese herbs such as He Shou Wu Root, which is singly used in Chinese medicine.
