Janet Galipo, Doctor of Oriental Medicine, teacher and author, is best known for providing high quality holistic healthcare services to individuals and families worldwide.

Her vision of an integrated approach to healthcare is incorporated into her practice of acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutritional therapy and BodyTalk, an energy based system.

Synthesizing practices from various ancient and modern medical systems, Janet brings intuitive understanding and knowledge of the deeper factors relating to health and illness. Working with the individual’s body’s energies and capacity for healing, she creates customized healing plans based on foundation causes of chronic illness.

Janet has traveled to the four corners of the world: South America, Asia, Europe, and North America in order to share her unique treatment methods and to comprehensively train other holistic practitioners. Addressing the complex relationships between mind and body and the way in which humans are connected to their environment, Janet focuses on health restoration on all levels.

Acupuncture

Within the last 50 years, acupuncture is beginning to find its rightful place. The once skeptical Western medical and scientific communities have now become aware of the intensive research that has increased exponentially over the last decades. The United States and China are taking lead roles in understanding the compelling evidence of the actions of acupuncture at organ system, cellular and sub-cellular levels. Acupuncture is often used alongside conventional Medicine to treat a variety of health conditions and emotional problems.

About | Janet Galipo

 

Born in Ohio of Sicilian-American parents, Janet attended Boston University where she received a B.A. in Anthropology and a Master Degree in Counselling. Prior to becoming a Holistic Physician, she worked as a historic preservation specialist, affordable housing developer, speed reading instructor, and social worker. She worked in the Suffolk County Prison system in Boston for five years.

Since 1993, Janet has been a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, running a busy practice that includes acupuncture, homeopathy, Chinese and western herbs and other holistic therapies. In 2000, she learned the Bodytalk System and is now one of its international instructors.
